About our creative director, Mojo

I am a former web designer from the era when we crafted HTML in Notepad, before Dreamweaver and Photoshop transformed the landscape into something magical. Now, I’ve embraced the next frontier by incorporating AI into my creative tools, allowing me to simply share an idea and let technology work its wonders. While AI requires some fine-tuning to capture my vision perfectly, it has opened up exciting new avenues for my artistry.

Currently, I am a portrait artist who also creates unique jewelry. Though I haven’t picked up a paintbrush in over a year, I plan to carve out time to return to painting soon. My passion for jewelry collecting, particularly vintage costume pieces and contemporary styles, stems from my grandmother's love for adornments. She would share her cherished pieces with me, regaling tales of designers and the stories behind them. I fondly recall a box of what she called “cheap” costume jewelry, filled with stunning rhinestone necklaces and brooches. I left it at my father’s house as a child, and it eventually found its way to my stepsister, but the memories remain vivid in my mind. Today, I seek to collect pieces reminiscent of that box or those that evoke similar sentiments.

I also enjoy gathering broken or well-loved jewelry to deconstruct and breathe new life into through my creations. This passion drives my presence at auctions, where I share my finds and inspirations with others. I am particularly drawn to geometric shapes, like triangles and circles, which symbolize strength and femininity, respectively.

I had the privilege of spending many years in a master artist’s studio, reminiscent of the camaraderie of the Old Masters, where creativity flowed freely. I believe that true artistry often defies convention, allowing the universe to guide the process. Many remarkable artists aren't classically trained; they create stunning works as outsider or weekend artists, driven by pure passion.

I also cherished a 30-year friendship with a brilliant scientist who was a graduate gemologist. Living with him for a year enriched my understanding of both jewelry and science, leaving me with countless cherished memories that continue to influence my work.
